City of Green Residents to Receive NOPEC Natural Gas Enrollment Letters

By Mary Ripley on February 24, 2020

The City of Green has joined NOPEC’s natural gas aggregation program.  Residents and small business owners can now take advantage of natural gas supply rates negotiated exclusively for NOPEC customers.  Eligible customers will be receiving an enrollment letter that explains NOPEC’s program options and rates, along with providing customers the option to opt-out of the aggregation program.

NOPEC is required by the Public Utilities Commission of Ohio (PUCO) to send these enrollment letters to all eligible residential and small business natural gas customers in NOPEC member communities.

To enroll, you do not need to take any action. Your account will automatically be enrolled in NOPEC’s Standard Program Price.  There will be no disruption of service during this switch. Residents’ local natural gas utility will still be responsible for delivering gas to homes and businesses, reading meters and sending bills.

NOPEC also offers additional rate options to choose from including 12- and 24-month fixed term products and a Monthly Variable Price program that is always $.02/Mcf below the Utility’s Standard Choice Offer.  Enrollment in the Monthly Variable Price program is limited and subject to availability.   For more information on any of NOPEC’s programs, call NOPEC’s Customer Care Center at 855-667-3201 (855-NOPEC01).

If you would like to opt-out of NOPEC’s natural gas program and choose your own supplier, fill out the opt-out form included with your enrollment letter and return it by mail or by fax to 440-774-4422 by the date indicated on the enrollment letter.

If you have additional questions about the enrollment process or NOPEC’s natural gas program, please go to nopec.org or contact NOPEC’s Customer Care Center at 855-667-3201 (855-NOPEC01).  NOPEC’s customer service team is available 24/7 to answer your questions.
