Chuck has been with NOPEC since mid-December of 2011. Chuck came to NOPEC after a long and distinguished career as a public servant, including service as vice president of the renowned Garfield Institute for Public Leadership at Hiram College, and a nearly 18-year tenure as Portage County Commissioner where he developed and championed an array of regional intergovernmental initiatives. These included the Northeast Ohio Joint Office of Economic Development (chair), the Northeast Ohio Trade and Economic Consortium (NEOTEC), the Community Partnership for Arts and Culture and the Northeast Ohio Public Energy Council (NOPEC) where he served as the Portage County member of the Board of Directors for a number of years. Chuck holds Bachelors and Masters Degrees from Kent State University.
